Cuisinart CMW-100 Microwave Oven Logo
Posted on Nov 20, 2010

I have the CWM 100 - the microwave is only about 1-1/2 years old. It runs, but the glass turntable no longer turns. No matter what we've tried, removing the glass plate, cleaning the wheels of the plastic piece it sits on and removing the center piece and putting it back on. Any suggestions?

Check to make sure the Spindle that the plastic piece fits on is turning when the oven is on.
If the spindle turns, your problem is either the plastic wheel adapter is worn or not making proper contact with the spindle. You can replace th e adapter by going to Cuisinart.com.
If the Spindle is not turning, you can go to Cuisinart.com and find the nearest repair facility.

The problem is in the magnetron or the inverter board if 7 years old or less.

I have a GE Spacemaker II microwave: JEM25GY that died. It seems less expensive to replace rather than fix. Power works; it doesn't heat. New models all apparently have turntables; mine didn't and I...

YOU CAN TRY REMOVING THE GLASS TRAY AND TURNTABLE AND REPLACING IT WITH YOUR OLD GLASS TRAY (IF YOU HAD ONE) OR JUST ANY GLASS MICROWAVE TRAY. WITHOUT THE TURNTABLE, I CAN'T SEE HOW IT CAN ROTATE.

I have GE JES735-BJ02 that heats but makes weird sounds like a rumbling sound.

It could be a failing fan motor or magnetron.

While a microwave should never be left running unattended under any circumstances (as your owner's manual will tell you) it's even more important when one is exhibiting a failure or any odd behavior. So play it safe and stay with it while it's running!

And, as with anything that is not working right, it should be fixed as soon as possible or it can get worse.

If it's less than one year old, it would be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

Microwave turntable won't turn

Most likely the turntable motor itself is bad - not an uncommon problem for that model.

Check with www.martinmicrowave.com (toll free 1-877-894-0035)

unfortunately, the particular motor used in your model is rather expensive - + - $50

Kenmore elite microwave/vent hood model 721.80834500 turntable

I bought a Kenmore Elite Microwave Hood Combination Model 721.80823500 at Sears. The installer did not bring the parts to connect the vent to the pipe on the ceiling and never came back. I cannot find the vent/exhaust connetor part to have it installed. No one knows. I appreciate information or installer. Thanks.

Turntable no longer turns

That would be the turntable coupler.

Turntable roller rest

It's called either the turntable coupler or the turntable support, depending on your model number. You can visit the Sears parts Web site at http://www3.sears.com/ and enter your full model number and see exploded view diagrams, parts lists, and order the part. Or you can call Sears parts at 1-800-252-1698.
