If nothing is broken then this might be a easy fix.

first take out the dregdraw and the driptray.
Put one screwdriver on the sensor for the driptray/dregdraw at the botom left and one for the door up i the right corner .
This must be done when the machine is on.
It will then think the brewing unit is in position and move to the starting location.

I cant get my needle position to move to the left or the right

The long arm is attached to the needle arm.
1. Move the needle arm right and left with your finger. Is there any resistance? There should be. If not, a spring that is supposed to be attached to the long gray rod has came loose.
2. The spring will be attached so it pulls towards the round cogs (bumpy things).
3. Mechanical sewing machines are very similar. There is a possibility that your adjustment lever has screws came loose.
4. By moving the needle arm back and forth you can monitor what is going on to get a clue of what may be wrong.

Only hot water comes out of the steam wand

Hi
Sounds like you might need a new steam boiler, or you may have a fuse that is blown for the steam boiler.

AEG LAVAMAT 74620 shows "CE" error

I fixed it, but I still don't know for sure what the "CE" error code is. I guess it is for the water distributor. I opened it up. There are some gears in there that move a mechanical arm that distributes the water into different containers. The mechanical arm moves around an axis -- it was very difficult to move, so the gears kept slipping. I opened it, and put some greaze inside. Closing it up was a real pain. But it works, and I didn't have to wait around to receive a new distributor.
