The serial is a one use only item - if you need to reinstall the program you must phone Avanquest , explain the situation and they will give you another key for free.
Or you could just use a free partition tool like http://www.partition-tool.com/

Installed the motherboard in a new case, it worked fine in the previous case but now i can't get any video output from either the motherboard or the video card. Its almost all brand new hardware, I've...

remove the video card, then see if you can get video from the mainboard video output. You did get a processor that supports that hopefully, If that works you need to boot into the bios and set the PCIe video to have priority over the onboard video. Turn off the PC and install your card. See if that works and good luck.

I have a sony vgn-t360p....the computer is about 3.5 years old. I woudlliek to figure out whether I shoudl upgrade or replace this model

I would say: If you can afford it, better replace it. Generally speaking, a 3+ years old laptop is more prone to hardware failures than a new one.

I can't install windows xp in my computer. It has AMD processor with Gigabyte mother board. After the confirmation screen when I press F8 my pc displays the following error message:...

STOP 0xC2 means:

A kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory operations. Typically, a faulty driver or buggy software causes this.

STOP 0x43 means:
A disk device driver called the I/O system to change a partition type on a specified partition, but the partition does not exist.

(The last 3 numbers are parameters for the previous request)

My gateway essential 400 cant run newer programs **** *** window 7... or explorer 8... or flashplayer 10... how can i upgrade my computer 2 make it run these programs ? a new hard drive ? or what do i do...

Hi,

You can add hard drive if your system doesnt have enough space for the new programs. If the new programs installs well but is running slow or not starting, then you will have to upgrade your RAM and for better performance, fix one graphics card suitable for *********** board. If you can spend more, Upgrade *********** board and processor.

Thanks

I have no signal to my monitor. The asus motherboard is now unavailable. It means changing motherboard, processor and memory. is it worth it? Can I salvage my hard drive if I buy a new tower system...

If you have no signal to your monitor, ther are generally three parts that can cause this: the monitor, the DVI/VGA cable (from PC to monitor) or the graphics card. If I were you I'd try to replace those first, then the motherboard. I'm sure there still are socket 939 motherboards out there, so you will not have to replace memory or processor. Just let someone at a local computer store take it apart, install the hardware on a new motherboard, put the harddisk in the system and reinstall Windows.
(the latter because drivers for the old motherboard may conflict with the new ones. If you don't have any problems with that, don't)

I hope this helps,
Yannick.

Installed a new processor and now it wont work

Is that an upgraded processor? If it is, then somehow, it could be its configuration problem with the older processor on software side. Your previous installation of OS remember its past processor and reporting error.

You can try fresh installation. Just for the input.

COMPUTER GOES SHUTDOWN WHEN PLAYING HIGH-END GAMES

If your mobo wasn't compatible with your video card, you wouldn't get a screen at all.
Yes upgrade your directx to 10
and yes upgrade your power supply to a 650Watt or greater.
The problem is most likely that you have a low wattage PSU and
when your vcard request more power to run higher graphic games than the
Windows Interface, your computer shuts down because it doesn't have enough power to give.

Replaced Mobo & Processor but PC not working

First step is to check and make sure that all cables are connected properly and that the RAM is seated properly. Also are you using onboard video or an add on card?

Video Editing Do I need to upgrade?

Get a new system... Sorry if this isn't what you want to here but RD-ram is stupidly expensive. 512mb of RD-ram is usually a few hundred dollars and hard to find. Since you have RD-ram that means you also have a Pentium 4 processor, probably in the range of 1.2 -1.8 Ghz

Vegas is a great video editing program but it needs way more than speed that that to render a video (in a decent amount of time. it will render on a slower processor, it will just take forever!). You will be much happier of the results if you just replace the computer rather than try to upgrade it.
