Question about Brother Sewing Machines

1 Answer

My machine is not getting any power. I took my machine to a class yesterday. It worked fine but when I plugged it in here at home last night, nothing happened. I checked the outlet with a lamp and the light came on. Could something have happened to the power cord? It was stored for transportation in a padded compartment.

It is possible the power cord has gone out,,or the power cord receptacle has gone out
i've been working on a sewing machine that they connected the power cord & disconnected it so much that they pushed the pins out of there sockets

or the on/ off switch has gone out

I just got this machine 2 days ago.. used.. but only 29,000 stitches on it.. took it to the service center yesterday, had it checked out top to bottom.. the tech said. great machine.. works wonderful..all...

When you say you used needle 1-5, then needle 6 messed up, are you saying you actually inserted six different needles into the machine, one by one ? If so, and the other needles work, then chances are the sixth one is defective in some way. They can have burrs on them that cause this kind of issue, and the solution is toss it out and use a new one.

If it means something else, need to know model and make and just what all this needles are for.

Interrupted power on my Pfaff sewing machine

Make sure your machine cord secure in the machine. Check your home wall outlet too since you are able to get machine running away from your home. If none of these are the issues, definitely take back for repair. Jimmy

Just bought my new machine yesterday and excited to start using it. I read over the manual last night. There is a DVD but only the audio is working on it. How can I get a new DVD or is this something...

not sure why dvd wont work unless you bought machine online from another country? if you did, double check voltage on it is same as yr power supply. now to get started, visit youtube or and check out general sm info if you are a newbie. debbie has simple projects online which you might want to make as starters, such as a cushion cover or apron. if you have never sewen then consider taking a class or two to learn skills such as cutting out a pattern and garment assembly. for now why not wind a bobbin, thread up refering to manual and try stitching straight stitch seam and then zig zag the raw edges. enjoy!

Check to see if the cord leading from the footpedal to the machine is loose or frayed? You might have accidently loosed it when you were cleaning your machine.

My Pfaff dealer in CA gives free estimates. He recently took my sewing machine apart to determine that it had a bad board.
