I cant acces my logitec to do a video call,i just plug it,how do i link it with my pc

Hi,

First step is to know if you have installed the software completely. Once you have done it, Click on Video Call or Webcam option from any chat or software application like Yahoo, MSN or Skype to launch the Video.

My Suggestion would be to run the logitech cam disk you received with the cam and uninstall it. Restart the PC and reinstall it. it should work fine.

Regards,
Shawn

Try to turn on webcam,it comes on momentarily and then i get an on- screen message saying the cam is used in another application, and to shut down other applicaton and retry,

Webcam software has a habit of remaining hooked up to any previous application it was used in.
When you get this message re-boot the webcam software by unplugging it from the USB port for a few seconds.

Logitech webcam is running very slow on skype.

You have a good support system with this manufacturer
Visit the Logitech website - identify your cam and click on it to view any information with Skype
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/405/&cl=us,en?prodcrid=405
You also have the logitech forum where you can see if others are experiencing similar problems or post your own.

Hi i have a logitech quick cam for notebooks pro

Many webcams can only be accessed by one software package at a time. You have another software package that is currently using that cam, even if you aren't actively using that software. Do you have an Instant Message software application running? Or a video capture software? Check the TSRs (Terminate and Stay Resident) applications in your lower-right corner (assuming you're using a Windows software package), and turn off anything you don't need. Then try the webcam again.

Error Msg: Problem occure during Hardware installation

Having Nero installed can cause this problem. This is from the Microsoft Knowledge base. There are some other programs that can cause this problem. Search "Lifecam Program" I believe I have tracked the problem down to this. I have not uninstalled Nero yet, But Nero crashes when trying to launch it video utilities. So at this point I am presuming that tere is a conflict.

Logitech quick cam communicate stx on Vista - microphone not working

Why isn't the microphone on my camera working?
trnsp.gif Answer The microphone may not work because of a hardware or configuration problem. To determine if it's a hardware problem, test the microphone in Sound Recorder.

  1. Click "Start," > "Programs" ("All Programs" for Windows XP) > "Accessories" > "Entertainment" > "Sound Recorder."
  2. Click the Record button and speak into the microphone of the camera. You should see the green line move, indicating the application is picking up sound.
  3. Click the Stop button.
  4. Click the Play button. If there is no sound at playback, check to make sure the correct device is selected.
    1. Click "Edit," then "Audio Properties."
    2. Make sure Logitech is listed as the Preferred device for "Sound recording."
The microphone may also be defective. To test this, try the camera on another USB enabled system.
If you can record sound in Sound Recorder, but not in the QuickCam application, try setting the Logitech Microphone as the Preferred device in Audio Properties.
