How do i get yahoo icon on my toolar - Yahoo Mail

I assume you are accessing Yahoo! Messenger from your Computer. Well, if you've signed out, simply open the Yahoo! Messenger and sign in again using your Yahoo ID and Password. You should have a Yahoo Messenger icon similar to this on your desktop...


When it is opened, you'll see the sign-in box which should look more or less similar to this:


You can also open the Yahoo! Messenger from the Taskbar, double-click the Yahoo!Messenger icon on the taskbar to open it.. (reddened icon below)


If you can't find it on the desktop or on the taskbar, click "Start" > "All Programs" > "Yahoo! Messenger" and open it, or you should see the Yahoo!Messenger icon in the Start Menu Program lists.

The 'My Yahoo!' icon can be added to the Yahoo toolbar as follows:

* Click the yahoo toolbar settings (it's the little gear-shaped icon to the far right of the toolbar).
* Click 'Edit your apps' in the dropdown menu.
* Click 'Add Apps'.
* Click 'Yahoo Services' (in the 'Browse Categories' list)
* Find the 'My Yahoo!' service and click +Add to the left of the My Yahoo! service

The My Yahoo! icon will be added to the Yahoo toolbar.

This may happened if you have deleted the Yahoo Messenger Icon from the Desktop, you can create a shortcut again by clicking Start and type as Yahoo Messenger in the search box to locate the Yahoo Messenger Icon, then right click on the Yahoo Messenger Icon>Send to >Create Desktop (CreateShortcut). If the Yahoo Messenger Icon is missing when searched through Start Menu, then re-install the Yahoo Messenger from any one of the link below:

go to start>program files/all programs>yahoo/yahoo messenger>right click on the yahoo messenger icon and click send to>desktop *create shortcut* than the icon should be there again, unless your saying the picture for the icon disappeared, than you right click>properties click the thing that says change icon, once the box shows up with the icon double click it then hit okay right click your desktop click refresh and it will reappear.

you can create a desktop icon for yahoo instant messenger like this follow this step to make a desktop icon for your yahoo instant messenger.

step 1. go to start.
step 2. click on all program.
step 3. you can see yahoo messenger there. move your cursor on yahoo messenger then you can see the program of yahoo messenger.
step 4. right click on the yahoo messenger then select send to.... now select desktop (create shortcut)

and after this steps you can see the yahoo messenger icon on your desktop now you can use this from your desktop.

Try going to Start->All Programs->Yahoo Messenger-> and click Yahoo Messenger icon. It should open up yahoo messenger for you. If this works follow the same process tell yahoo messenger and instead of clicking on yahoo messenger icon right click the icon and go to Send To->select desktop ( Create Shortcut) it will put the messenger shortcut on desktop for you.

You can make a yahoo icon on the desktop as follows:

• Right Click at an empty area of the Desktop
• Select (left Click) New Short cut from the popup menu
• Type in the website address in the box. It would be like: www.yahoo.com OR www.yahoo.com.au
• Click on Next
• Type in a User friendly name for the Icon
  
• Click on Finish

Now you will have a Yahoo Icon on your desktop

Actually after the installation of yahoo messenger the icon must be shown in the desktop. If the icon is not shown , go to start / all program / yahoo messenger. Good luck!

Go to the toolar and click on Tools. Pull down the menu and click on internet options. The first tab is generally and you will see the option to delete your cookies, history etc. DO it. Then:

Be sure that you are doing a CLEAN download and install. Turn off all running programs including and escpecially your virus/firewall program. Look through the little icons on the lower right and turn off everyone that you can. Your firewall will actually stop a clean download. After you have downloaded and installed messenger, do a restart and make sure that your virus control is running again.
