It sounds likely that you have a power supply fault. Check the Switching transistor and replace as required along with the tuning capacitors and any failed diodes. Hope that helps.

Take the back off and check the fuse for continuity with a volt meter,volt meter should be on the ohms setting with sound,if the fuse is good you will hear the meter continuously beep,if the fuse is bad you will hear nothing at all,also if the fuse looks burnt then replace the fuse,no need to check it with the meter,good luck
it is most likly a burnt out fuse, or the whole instrument cluster is shot. that happened to my 2002 impala. all gauges froze, and nothing worked. I would check the fuse first before replacing the entire cluster. Best of luck
Check Main fuse 's underhood and in car. Then inspect for water damage around the roof...IF you hear the motor engage but grind. it will need replaced...If you push the button and hear nothing its a fuse, or a short or the switch is broken...Or dreadfully the motor is burnt up and will need replaced not an ez job but do able with patience.... hi sir if it is in warrenty period.. please cheak it or just open the cover see whether the 250 v coming in the start point of the circuit board and see whether an fuse wire is burnt out , if burnt out replace it and check whether the further voltage comes after step down the transformer.. if it correct & fuse is replaced it wil work. thank sir
We had the same problem with our last rca stereo. I don't remember what model it was. My husband took it apart and found that there was and area on the circuit board that was fried. I don't know of any other solution then the one we chose. Trash it. I'm not expert but I would imagine that you could by a new stereo for the price of replacing that circuit board. Just don't buy an rca. They are junk. Our new rca just quit playing cds.
