Why microwave does not heat anymore

Well, we are looking at a bad magnetron, cracked high voltage diode, or a shorted high volage capacitor. I would suggest replacing the microwave oven because the expence involved to have it serviced.

I have a GE sensor microwave oven. Tried to heat food and sensor eror came on. Everything is running even the timer but no sound but the timer is running. Cant this be reset pls help

HELLO.

This is the solution to reset your microwave.

1 Pressing the clock button will display the time. You can also use this to know what time it is while cooking.

1. Set the clock by pressing the "Clock" button.

2. Turning the dial on the GE sensor microwave oven will display the hour of the day. Once you have found the correct hour, press the dial in.

3. Again, turn the dial to set the minutes of the day. When this is completed, you will need to press the dial in again on the GE sensor microwave oven.

4. When the time and minutes are set, turn the dial again for a.m. or p.m. Then you will need to press the dial in to save the settings.

5. Press the "Start" button to allow the clock to begin on the GE sensor microwave oven.

Thanks.

Hello, When you turn the unit on the digital timer starts & the light goes on but there is no power to the tray motor, fan, or microwave power unit (the food does not cook). It makes no noise...

It sounds like the oven needs to finally go to home. Some things take more time and headache to fix than just to go get a new one.

Just an FYI note, look up health hazzards of microwave ovens, you might be surprised and not use them anymore like we stopped. It's very bad for us.

MY PANASONIC MICROWAVE SHUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY AFTER 3 OR 4 SEC

Sure sounds like it is losing power. First check the fuse and fuse holder. These companies are using really cheap fuse holders and they do not grab the fuse tightly, thye get hot and start to melt the fuse. Remove the fuse and look for signs of heat or flux running from the silver ends of the fuse. if you see signs of it being hot I would replace the fuse and fuse holder. Make sure ALL connections are tight and give it a try. I search long and hard to find fuse holders I like and can trust to do a long term repair. if you cant count on a part, the repair wont hold up and then Its MY reputation that suffers, Damn companies always choosing the cheap way out on making parts. When I started repairing Microwaves, a Home Microwave cost about 800.00 I see them sell at certain stores for 18.88!!!! how can you have good parts in there for 18.88?? Nobody makes things to last anymore. SAD!!! Fill The landfills and buy a new one. except the new one is Cheap Garbage!! Since it goes blank it sound like it is losing power. Always could be outlet you have it plugged into. Try different location first, on different breaker

Problem with microwave oven

F3 means a problem with the keypad. A bad keypad may be worn out due to age, damaged, or it may have gotten wet or otherwise contaminated. Moisture and contamination can be caused by not using the hood fan when boiling on the stove top, spraying of cleaners, by storing the microwave in an unheated garage or shed, or infestation. I warn my customers to never spray cleaner directly onto the microwave keypad, since the liquid can get inside and "lock up" or even ruin the keypad or controller. Apply an alcohol-based cleaner (such as the purple kind) to a cloth (paper towels can scratch) and gently wipe it off. I suggest to my customers that they NEVER use any ammonia-based cleaner (like the blue stuff) on a microwave, since the ammonia will crack and distort polycarbonate plastics. An exploded view and parts price list can be seen by entering your *entire* model number at the GE parts Web site: http://www.geappliances.com/shop/prts/
