My Hitachi Simpledrive Mini 250 suddenly quit....when I lookein the device manager it said Code 10, would not start????

Sounds like a disk error and it cant read the start of the drive. If it still detects it you might be able to repair it with a partition recovery or partition repair tool available online.

IGNITION STARTING PROBLEM

If the starter is turning there is no need to try to short past the solenoid. It shouldn't harm the computer to do so, but all that does is make the starter turn, which it is apparently doing anyway.

go to a computer shop and buy a kingston solid state hard drive-250 gig for around $65.00 aud
next obtain a copy of win 7 with a registrable licence code and insert it in a cd drive
turn the computer on and hold down the delete key until the bios screen appears
move to boot tab
select cd as first boot device , yes and hit the esc key
turn off the computer then restart it
the bios direct will activate the cd and load the program into the hard drive and you are up and running
when finished , go back to switch off and do the bios start again and this time set the first boot back to hard drive
A 250 gig sshd is equal to 500 gig disc type and will not fail as there are no moving parts

My hard disk turn off every 1 hour then it make a unusal sound nd wont restart again . Then again next day its start and after 1 hour it gets hang nd start making tick tick noise ... does m hard disk...

Go to the power settings and set it to never turn off hard drive...the tick tick noise are the read and write heads working (that's what writes information on the hard drive) which is perfectly normal with an older hard drive....the hang is probably a virus or needs a good cleaning...I recommend advanced system care as a program to clean your hard drive and fix the errors....uninstall any and all programs not needed or unused

Installed a 250GB WD Scorpio and it shows as a 130GB drive

make sure the laptop will handle a drive bigger than 130 gig. if not make two partitions when you set it up, bios wont see it but usually windows will. also, sometimes ive found that if i delete the partition a few times it eventually reads right. dont know why but have done it that way several times. you can also download a diskmanager program from thier website which makes an overlay if your bios wont support a 250.

Hard drive keeps losing space lol

Are you surfing the internet a lot?  You may be getting a lot of temporary files.  Here is something to try.  In internet explorer go to tools / internet options / delete cookies, delete files (all offline contect) and clear history.  This should help some.  You are always going to go down in space.  Windows updates automatically on a regular basis.  This will cause a decrease in available hard drive space.
