Hey there,

The 3.5mm socket is the only thing you can plug into on a mac for speakers.

Have you checked to make sure that the system volume is turned up? Use the volume buttons on the mac keyboard to turn it up.

Let me know if this does or doesnt work and we'll try something else!

Good luck :)

verify if the computer has a digital output that matches your speakers (5.1 or 7.1). Also, verify that the cable leading from the PC to the main speaker box is OK. Also, the speakers may come with an installation CD, so you'll need to install the accompanying control application.

HELP ME!!! LOGITECH Z-5500

Unplug the speakers from the mains and computer. Wait for 5-10mins, replug to mains and computer.

If this does not work, try reseating the audio card (while the PC is switched off and the speakers unplugged, or try using a different slot.

If neither works, it could be that your system is defective. Please see HERE about an RMA. Or you can eMail Logitech support at http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php?

Hope that helps!
