Doesn't drain after washing dishes

Dishes are coming out dirty

Look for buildup over drain screen. Also, look for plugged squirt discharge nozzles on the spray arms. These get plugged.

Water into washer

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

The dishwater detergent dispencer doesn't open when it should during it's timing cycle.

HI, this is the result of a damaged Actuator assembly. you will need to replace this assembly. it is a spring loaded assembly that dispenses the detergent.

I have a roper dishwasher someone gave to me and it does not have anywhere to plug it in, no wires loose, and i dont see anywhere to plug anything into it.

Hi
Look at the bottom in front. There is a small metal cover usually with one hex headed screw holding it. Remove the screw and then the cover and there should be one white and one black wire in there. Feed your power supply through the hole in the back and use a romex connector, available at your hardware store to secure your power supply and wire nut the leads inside the box, very tight. Don't forget to put the ground on the Green screw.

Just stopped working

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dishwasher
Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).
