1 Answer

Hi. I've been asked to track down 2 x upper knifes and 1 x lower knife for a Janome mylock 634D elecronic control machine. Its my great aunts machine, so i've got no idea what i'm really looking for!!!! Finding a spare parts dealer would be a start. Any help, very welcome. Thanks Maxine.

Janome MyLock 634D serger won't serge and the handwheel is stuck after I removed a piece of fabric that was stuck by the knife.

if the handwheel won't turn, i'd double check nothing is still stuck. also, make sure you didn't half disengage the blade as they have several positions ( so you can disengage it for rolled hem etc) If you can't find anything I'm sorry to say something may have been damaged when the fabric got caught.

Contact your local Janome dealer and ask to speak with someone who services the machines.

MyLock 634D won't serge

Check that your lower looper is actually threaded and not tangled with the upper looper (needle thread) when it moves. I wish they'd include pictures in the manual how to lay the thread.

Overlocker janome 304D

The easiest way to remember them is to observe the machine while you turn the handwheel and see. If it rubs put a drop of oil on it.This means on the end of each shaft, on parts which slide; any place which has a friction point. NOT on the knife blades.
