Use a Thermal Printer cleaning card. I get mine in with my labels. First turn power off on the Thermal Printer. Insert the card into the feeding path, press form feed or manually pull the cleaning card using both hands until the entire card has been pulled free.

How do I return a defective cartridge for a replacement?

Inkjet cartridges must be used at least once a week or else they dry out and cake the print heads. Try cleaning the print head if their software included a cleaning option. If not, then break out the Q-tips and rubbing alcohol. With very little alcohol on the tip, lightly brush the exposed metal on the print head only. Do not brush the metal contact points on the side. Only the bar like head which will be stained with ink. Once the head is cleaned make sure it is dry fully in the correct upright position before putting it back in.

Replaced black, would not print black, deep clean times two and still the same problem. What can I do?

Hi, the print head needs to be removed and washed with warm water, Please check the manual for print head removal and re-installation. Also print head alignment must be done on re-installation. The process sounds complicating but is quite simple. Do as if you are replacing a ink cartridge. When the print head is at centre in this process and stops.Switch power off on printer.Remove the cartridges, then remove the print head, wash in warm water carefully, do not use any brush or do hard rubbing, dab dry on paper towel. Replace print head into printer, then cartridges, then switch power on. Do print head alignment, clean print head once and print test pattern. Hope this helps as it has worked for me and is still working. All the best.

How to repare e000-0000

The most likely cause of this is the print head. This may solve your current issue:- Most printers have a cleaning routine where you tell the printer to go through a cleaning cycle. This will be a program on your computer or a button on the printer itself. A number of these cleanings can take care of a clogged print head. If not then please try the following:- 1 With the printer power on please open the cover and wait for the carriage to appear. 2 Unplug the printer from the mains and carefully slide the carriage to gain access to the print cartridges and remove them. 3 With a damp cloth or ear bud clean the print head. (isopropyl achohol with water works best) 4 Leave for 5 minutes and put the cartridges back in. 5 How are the print now? If this doesn't work then you are looking at a faulty cartridge or print head. All the best .

Orange light flashing five times

With the printer on...

Open the lid
Remove the ink cartridges
Lift the print head lock lever on the left
Remove the print head
Gently clean out any ink
Gently clean the copper contacts on the back
Gently clean the print head nozzle(s) on the bottom
Make sure it's dry
Re-install the print head
Put the lock lever back in the down position
Reinstall your ink
Close the lid
Try printing again
The printer may detect that you removed/inserted ink so it may go through a print head cleaning of it's own that you need to wait to finish
If needed, power cycle the printer and then try printing again
You may need to replace the print head

How can you clean print heads for the HP C4480 All-In-One? "Best quality photos" prints well, but text has lines and smudge marks. Cleaned spongy material below cartridges but can't clean roller....

just take out the ink cartridge and clean off the bottom of it, that is the print head. you may need to clean under the plastic piece that it sits in. That may have hair or fuzz on it that is dragging across print.

Whats best for cleaning lens

A very soft bristle brush is the best way to clean an optical lens. Camera shops sell these brushes for a few dollars.

A "blower" is also recommended. Some brushes are a combo with a bulb at one end to squeeze air at the same time you softly brush the lens. An alternative is compressed air that comes in a small can with a straw like nozzle you add to the spray head.

Never use a facial tissue, they are too rough.

For a stubborn mark, you can buy a small bottle of lens cleaning liquid and special tissues. Fold the tissue in fourths, add a drop of cleaner, then gently wipe the lens. (Never apply the liquid directly to the lens.) Let it air dry.

All these items are very inexpensive and available at any camera shop.

If your camera lens accepts a screw on filter, protect your lens by adding a UV filter. It's cheap insurance against damage to the lens.

I have a Remington razor DA307. What is the best way to clean it? Can I run water over it? Thanks. Frank [email protected]

The DA307 shaver is NOT washable. Exposure to water will damage shaver and possible expose you to electrical shock. Simply brush the cutter blade and shaver head area with the brush that came with the shaver. If you need a brush, you can find them at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

HP Photosmart 3210xi - some colors (magentas) will not print

Remove the magenta cartridge, and try cleaning the head with alcohol, maybe with a small paint brush or an acid brush. It sounds like ink has dried and plugged up that head.

Constant blank streaks on both printed and photocopy items.

Hi Wooky,

The streaks are likely only present beside a bold character or heavy print section of the doccument content.
The print head assembly is likely carrying an obscure hair or piece of fluff back and forth which is acting like a paint brush.
The offending fibre is mos likely attached to the adge of the cartridge or print head carriage assembly. Also check the dervice station where the catridge docks when not printing as it can store fibres in the capping and wiping components especially if the printer is situated low to the ground where fibres tend to fly or you have fine haired pet like a cat, rabbit or toy dog.

Best way to clean is to trick the printer to unpark carriage (open top door to trigger carriage to present itself) then uplug power. Now you can move things at will to clean up with moist cotton buds (clean water is best).

Good luck
