Need color codes for ge dryer portable MODEL: DSKP 333EC5WW SERIAL: AL500 100C TYPE: MDU3D TO dryer timer switch Not one no where in dryer nor manual please

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding the color codes for your GE dryer. Here are the typical color codes for a GE dryer timer switch:
  • Black wire: This is typically the power wire and connects to the hot terminal of the timer switch.
  • White wire: This is typically the neutral wire and connects to the neutral terminal of the timer switch.
  • Blue wire: This is typically the wire that controls the dryer's cycle, such as timed dry or automatic dry.
  • Red wire: This wire is typically used for the dryer's buzzer or other signaling device.
However, it's important to note that the color codes may vary depending on the specific model and manufacturer of the timer switch. I would recommend double-checking the wiring diagram for your specific model, which should be located on the back of the dryer or in the owner's manual. If you're still having trouble, it may be best to consult a professional electrician or appliance repair technician.

How do i change my timer

Please make sure that the wiring is not tampered and taken out. Purchase the same type of timer and connect the wires after you have a sketch diagram with the wire codes so that no terminal wiring mistake is done while changing the timer.
Use the colour codes or use wire codes on the wire so that a wrong wiring is not possible.

Where is the reset switch on the Bosch 3510 dryer

The wiring diagram for the dryer is inside the back cover tie-wrapped to the frame:

The motor tripped?.
To reset the switch unplug the dryer, remove the power cable and back cover completely. two screws holding back cover are under the top cover which is held on with two screws at the rear. Remove the screws then pull top cover back and then lift it off. Remove last two screws and take off the full back cover . On the front of the motor you should see two white wires going into the safety switch for the belt breaking. Push the button on the left to reset the switch (you probably will hear a click) Do not push the right button as that is what got tripped originally . Good Luck Tim

Wire connections fell off - back timer connections needed

This is kind of a long shot but it is worth a try, most appliances have schematics enclosed in a pocket when removing the access panel. Look around the sides and bottom and you should see a paper pocket with the wiring diagrams and color codes for the wires.

I have a kenmore model 417.93042201 gas dryer that is about 5 years old. I had to replace the ignitor and in the process I removed the front of the cabinet. When I put it back together the dryer worked...

Look on the loose wire for a letter or number, it will be one or two inches from the female spade connector end. Then look on the timer and look for an empty terminal and see if the number or letter matches the one on the wire. If so, bingo! Attach the wire to the timer and see what happens. Also you could look on the wiring diagram for white wire and see where it positivley goes. Good luck. Remember to do all work with the unit unplugged!!

Electric dryer wont heat or turn off

there could be a temperature switch that tripps off. look at the diagram and trace also the power to the timer motor. it seems that you lost your power to your timer motor that is why the timer stays @ what ever setting you set it.
