Blue convergence + wont move right or lift, the Blue will move up and down.

I have a Panasonic PT-51HX41 after turning on the TV sometimes I have to do the convergence again.
Sometimes the Blue + wont move right or lift, the Blue will move up and down. The Red and Green work fine.
Another problem that may or may not be related is that the Power, Channel Select, Volume buttons on the front of the TV also doesn’t work.

The problem of your TV is in the convergence, there are two IC there that is cause the abnormality, you better reheat the feet of that IC maybe already crack or cold solder already,,the two IC there is a STK 392-110 or 150 ,if you reheated already and nothing happens ,you better change this two STK,so works better ,that STK is not so expensive..

Try the hard reset method , that is, unplug all the cables and wait for half an hour , and replug all cables and try ......hope this will help you

  • Anonymous Jun 20, 2008

the volume button is not working means the connections inside may got loosed ,so check that and repair it

  • Anonymous Jun 20, 2008

if the hard reset method not works then check whether there is a ny
discontinuity in connections inside ,or there may be some parts gone or
blow off check that and replace it

I have this same problem with the PT51HX41E but in the convergence menu the green and red are allowed to move. but the blue on the right side of the screen is not allowed to move and it looks like its...

My first guess would be a bad convergence amplifier - this is common, although usually all three of the amplifiers in the integrated circuit die at the same time, which throws off at least two colors and creates a "bow-tie" effect. I surmise you have half of a bow-tie in blue only.

If you could look at the blue output waveforms with an oscilloscope, you would see right away if this is the problem (flat-line instead of sawtooth wave). It is possible that both of the blue convergence amplifiers are working, but one output is not getting to the blue deflection yoke.

Don't mess with the convergence anymore until you get this taken care of. Changing the convergence now will only make it harder to get it back to where it should be once the circuit is fixed.

PT-47WX53G. TV got moved. Unable to move blue

The convergence ICs have failed which is very common when the set has been moved as a wek IC wont allow the color to be moved. You can get the PT52WX53G convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which is the correct one for your model. The kit contains the parts and the CD with repair instructions.

I have a Panasonic PT-51HX41 with shadowing with yellow and blue, convergence problem?

This is a convergence problem that can be as simple as poor solder connections at the convergence ICs to dfective ICs. Expect a parts cost in the $25-$50 range for this repair. If you feel confortable working inside the set and can solder, update this and I'll supply additional details and instructions.
