M2NPV-VM - Fastest Processor?

If ASUS says that is the fastest that will work on the board, then they should know. Incidentally processors don't run at 95 volts although some run at a power consumption of 95 watts. Besides there is not a faster AM2 CPU than the one you mention.

HOW MANY TYPES OF MEMORY SECTOR IN MOTHER BOARD

1) The Processor has the fastest memory. It is the Cache.
(L1, L2, and for some Processors, L3)
Operates at the same frequency rate ('Speed'), as the Processor.

It is a small memory area for the Processor.

2) Next is the Ram Memory. Random Access Memory.
Ram memory typically operates at HALF of the Processor's FSB.
It is the second fastest memory on the motherboard.

3) Next after the Ram Memory is the Harddrive.
Harddrive's have a Buffer.
Buffer is a Cache for a Harddrive. A small memory area.
The Harddrive is the third fastest memory.

My netvista is a 2000 year model and has a 564 Mhz processor. Can I put a faster processor in it?

Possibly but would not be worth the cost and the fastest processor of the same type would still be extremely slow. I would sugest looking into getting a second hand PC with atleast a 2MHz processor.

I have a Gateway MX6955 Laptop that is currently running a Core Solo T1350 Processor. It has the Intel 945GM chipset and want to know what is the fastest processor I can put in this machine. From reaserch...

U sure you can change the cpu on your laptop? Most are soldered in and not upgradeable. Meanwhile, the change you are proposing amounts to next to nothing and is not worth the time, effort, and expense.. If you really want to increase speed you will need a new laptop with faster processor than what you have.

I want to put a faster processor on my computer How fast can I go

Hello Robrez,

To answer your question, THE fastest (supported for your Motherboard) is the
Intel P4 3.06 (RK80532PE083512) from Northwood.

On P4's it matters what speed your ram is, so remember to check your ram settings after fitting.

You may see other cpu's that are faster but DONT bother... they are not supported for your board and you have a good chance that errors will happen if you fit them.

Hope this help.

Fastest socket A processor?

i think you will find that you are in fact using the fastest speed processor for the socket 'A' type of motherboard as AMD has changed to socket 754 or 939 for dual core processors. You can clock the speed a little in the bios, if you go to the peocessor section in the bios and look at the clock speed probably set at 133MHZ you can move it up 1 increment at a time, eg 134MHZ and keep trying until the pc wont boot up, at which point you will have to reset the cmos settings JBAT1 terminal and then set it again to the fastest you got it to before it wouldnt boot.
