The problem is likely a blockage in the drain line that runs from the dishwasher to the sink. you should take the panel out from under the door and then disconnect the drain line and check for a blockage.

Dishwasher won't drain

If you hear the motor running when it is to be draining you may have a busted pump impeller. Also locate and check the round looking cap it will move up and down by your hand pull it up if it is stuck at the bottom this is your float level it goes up and down with the water level the pump will not switch over if it is stuck on the bottom if it is stuck it is telling the dishwasher it is empty of water. and last but not least your wash timer may be out.

if the pump is not emptying properly it will think its still full, they have a sensor in the bottom that tell the machine that the system is empty and to begin next cycle.

Check the drain line underneath the sink.
It should be suspended just below the counter top.
If it is too low, water from the sink will back fill into the dishwasher.
If the drain is OK,then the dishwasher water valve is defective.

Dishwasher turned on accidently and full of water

Close the dishwasher door and run the drain cycle of the dishwasher only....that should empty the appliance. Note that a little bit of water remaining is normal, but if there is a substantial amount of water left, you will need to check the pump inlet screen and the drain hose or sink for any additional clogging.

Water collecting at bottom of dishwasher. screens have been cleaned.

is there water sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher or on the floor? If its sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher, most likely the discharge pump isn't working properly and not emptying all the water out. The pump will usually run for an extended time to pump the water out until it finally times out and you're still left with water in there...

Water and odor collecting in our empty dishwasher after 4-5 days

A small amount of water may be normal.  Clean the filter at the bottom of the tub.  Sprinkle some baking soda inside between washes.

Water in bottom of dishwasher

The emptying valve is probably partially blocked with a piece of debris or bone. It can be cleared manually usually if you can get at it with a pair of needle nose pliers or tweezers.

Bosch dishwasher S10R1B: Water not pumped out

Normally it is the impeller which is stuck. Take out the dishes and the filters and empty it for water by hand. Yes it is a dirty job. Then at the bottom there is an opening in the steel where the water is collected. Empty this too. At the bottom left there is a torx20 screw that keeps the cover for the impeller. remove the cover and check that the impeller can move. The may be object stuck
You canalso force the safety mechanism in the door with a screwdriver and try to see if the impeller moves when it is supposed to empty water.
My problem is that I did all this but it still does not move. It may be the impeller motor which is broken. To replace that one is not easy.
