When you turn it on, the green LAMP light goes on, then it clicks and the STANDBY/TEMP red light goes on, then clicks and back to the green LAMP light. It does this a few times, then The TIMER green light goes on and the all blink together and nothing happens. The bulb was replaced within the last 8 months. It worked the night before fine. Per the back of the TV it was manufactured in Nov 2005. Is this typical for only 5 years?

Hi,
Usually if all 3 indicator lights come on this could be the color wheel is not functioning or the DINe chip needs to be re-soldered. Be sure the lamp door is closed all the way, but the color wheel needs to be looked at first.

Replaced bulb yesterday worked fine. Today light will not turn on. projector turns on both lights green for 10 seconds, then power goes red and status blinks green for about 5 seconds, then status light...

green green is power on, normal
then it tries to light the lamp, but it can't so the protection circuit comes activated.
you get red and green blinking

Then it goes to standby, red and off.

so something has happened to the lamp, or lamp ballast power supply.
Take the lamp out and check if all is OK with the 2 terminals in the connector, and the leads to the lamp are intact.

Failing that, I would suspect the ballast lamp power unit

Red standby lights is always on and when I try to turn on tv the green temp light blinks once, goes off and then green lamp lights up. TV does not turn on.

Samsungs problem child, if the lamp is ok, then the best thing is to have a good tv shop inspect it, last three we had where not repairable, needed DMD, Digital board, cost more than tv was worth.

I own a Samsung HL-R5067W 50'' DLP. Set is about 3 years old. Recently I heard a loud pop while viewing, picture distorted, but never went blank. I turned set off. When turned on again a loud whining noise...

Check your color wheel. There is a DIY guide for replacing the color wheel. Mine did the same thing yours is and my color wheel was all busted up. Unfortunately after replacing the color wheel my set continues to do the same thing, but this could mean I need to replace the ballast as well.

Samsung HLP4674W - changed bulb - still no picture - lights flash

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

No picture and no sound

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
