I would use a hammer and a smaller diameter punch than the pin. Take a few wacks and see what happens. If it is rusted soak it with something like liquid wrench over night.

One thing to bear in mind. There's a miter angle lock and a slide lock on the bottom front of the saw. If you don't have the miter angle lock loose enough, it will be difficult to turn the saw.
