Yes I would useWD-40 to spray in lock. Insert key part way in lock and spray a small amount on key and into lockset if tou can, If you can fit spray nozzle into keyhole ,and spray liberally. You can also use dry graphite to lube lock mechanism. I would check to make sure that your keys aren't bent or worn to the point that I hope this helps you. Thanks they can't engage all tumblers inside lockset. I would also make sure that latch on lock is lining up with strike plate in door frame. One easy way to do this is to use a felt tip marker to cover strike plate on door frame and open and close door several times. Where ink from marker is rubbed off will show you where latch is contacting strike plate. If it is out of aligmment this will make it harder to open or lock with key. If necessary adjust strike plate for better fit. I hope this helps you. Thanks

I would try spraying WD-40 provided that you're not living in a hot area. If it's too hot, the WD-40 can evaporate quickly and it will leave behind a sticky residue that will glue the pins together.

Personally, I would just change the locks. Who knows? Someone might be fooling around with your lock and messed up the inside mechanisms. Maybe someone's trying to break in? It's certainly a possibility with all the news about lock bumping going around.

My drivers side door won't open with a key anymore, passenger side works fine. Janette

It sounds like the door lock rod has become detached from the lock rod actuator. The plastic retainer clip that holds it in place can become dislodged causing them to separate. Fixing this problem is not that difficult but, it does require removal of the inner door panel.

The lock on the front door, the hardware around the thing you put the key into is loose,,,how can i tighten it

Assuming this is a 'yale' type latch key lock.
Unscrew the lock assembly from the inside of the door. Behind it you will gain access to fixing screws for exterior assembly - just tighten them up.

Door wont unlock

There is a safety lock on the door that prevents the door being opened under certain circumstances. This lock can sometimes become stuck and can often be freed up by a gentle bang with the side of your fist on the front panel right next to the door lock.

sorry to here. it is most common for front loading washing machines and dryers to have a faulty door switch, although new machines have become increasingly difficult to diagnose. and parts have become much more expensive. Its possible he may be able to by pass the door switch to test the machine or test the door switch.
Hope this helps

Central locking wont stay open

Here's what I suspect is happening. The door locks will lock and unlock normally when the key is OUT of the ignition. If the key is IN the ignition, the doors cannot be locked (manually, key fob, or otherwise, if the system is operating as designed - prevents the doors being locked when the key is in the ignition). I've seen this problem before, but on a Santa Fe, not an Accent. The ground signal of the right hand front passenger door was lost, and the doors automatically locked. Perhaps something similar is happening in the circuit between the ETACS module and the right front passenger door lock/unlock actuator. Could be anywhere in the circuit.

ab4c712.gif These wiring diagrams may be helpful. The relays expecially may help solve this issue. As you can see, these relays are also controled by the ETACS module (Remote Keyless Entry).

1997 Toyota Rav4 doors are locked

over time the grease in the locks etc can become frozen and stop movement when its warmed up a bit it will move better, using the key on the doors every now and then helps move this greas about as the central locking wont move these parts only the switches, replacing the grease after a degreasing locking mechanisms inside the door on the rear of the lock should help choose a grease that can handle low temperatures.
