My remote control for my 52" Hampton Bay "Moresby" ceiling fan is on the fritz...I replaced the battery...however, the fan changes speed, changes direction (reverses), and cannot be turned off with the remote control...it has run amok...can I get a replacement remote??? or can mine be fixed???
Recommend you try contacting Home Depot directly.
Depending on age of the fan, you may be able to order replacement part. https://www.homedepot.com/c/customer_service
Hampton Bay is a Home Depot brand name. Most (not all) have a lifetime warranty. I think that if you take it to the nearest HOME DEPOT store, WITH the receipt they will help you by fixing or replacing the remote.
We have our home completely covered by HAMPTON BAY fans and one went out after several years and they replaced it no charge for another fan.
We have had great success with HOME DEPOT products and shop there often. Our preferred store is the one in Mesquite, TX on I635 East.

SOURCE: Two ceiling fans, both remotes control the same fan
One of the dip switches is located under the globe, near the ceiling.
The other dip switch is located in the remote control. You have to take the battery out and look in the space where the battery is, usually towards the top of the remote.
On mine, there are four settings, the dip switches have to be in the same position, on both your remote and the fan unit, for them to work. You might have to reset them if you do not want both fans to work from one remote. Maybe one fan and remote have the first switch up and the other three down, that would let them both connect. The other may have the first one down and the others up, then it would only work from the remote that is set the same way.
Usually you can reset them by using the point of a pencil to move each dip switch setting.
