Beep Codes?

Hi,

This board has been known to have some issues, the Asus' PEG optimizations aren't fully supported by some video cards like the Gigabyte GeForce 6600 GT. One example of a fully supporting video card is the Asus Extreme Radeon EAX1900XTX.

If possible, try using a different video card (one that supports
Asus' PEG optimizations - PEG Link Mode overclocking feature; PEG Link for single/dual graphics cards ). Or you may want to try and disable the PEG entirely.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turn up or should you need further information.

Good luck and kind regards.

I dont have sound and pc writhe i dont have devise on

If you need to install the drivers for your integrated sound card, here's the website:

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

You'll have three fields you need to answer:
Select Product: Motherboard
Select Series: Socket775
Select Models: P5ND2-SLI

Then select your OS, for example: WinXP, Vista, etc...

Then you'll have access to all of the drivers for your motherboard.

Good luck!

Sound not working properly

Hi ragnar590,
Please go over pages 5-12 to 5-17 in your manual.
Allow Realtek's auto jack-sensing software to detect your sound jack. If this software is not installed, install it. (Double check your speaker system by plugging into another PC). If after doing all this & you still have intermittent sound, either the jack coming off the board is bad or the onboard sound chip is bad. The Asus P5ND2-SLI was made in 2005 & is no longer in warranty. You can also try setting up the front panel audio coming off the board if your case has front or side audio/mic jacks. See page 2-31 in your manual.
It this options works than the problem is with the rear sound jack.
If this does not give you sound than the audio chip is the problem. Suggest you buy a PCI sound card & disable the onboard ALC850 within the bios.

Good luck ragnar590!
