Same problem with me. I think it's to do with the lens shutter and exposure time. My camera is pretty old but works fine APART from that. I'll just be taking lots of night shots till I know what's wrong good luck :)

White pictures when taken outside

The lens has suffered impact and the shutter or aperature blades have been damaged and are jamming. The camera needs repair / replacement parts.

White pictures when taking outside

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

The pictures are too light, when taken outside. Inside they are quite good, but sometimes, if it is too much light inside, I get again too light pictures

you can set the white balance so when your outside you can tone the brightness and visa versa for night. it should be in the setting of camera menu

What is and how do i adjust the white balnceon my fujitsu S550 digital camers?

Adjustment is in the menu screen, you shouldn't have to go very deep as it is a frequently adjusted setting.
White Balance is how the camera interprets white depending on ambient lighting. Have you ever noticed how when you are taking pictures inside at night and all of the light comes from lamps and the flash that your pictures have a yellow look? Take a picture under flourescent lamps and the pictures look different as well? How about outside? Best true color rendition on the picture taken outside, but different than the others.
White balance is a way for the photographer to adjust the tone of the picture to accurately reproduce the true colors seen in real life in the picture. Most cameras have an automatic white balance and they usually work fairly well. But for the best results, set it manually. Your whites will be white and skin tones appear accurate.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Picture is white

Don't know your specific camera, but it sounds like you have it set on manual (does it have P, A, S, M settings?) with a long shutter speed. This would let in a lot of light outside, and make all of your pictures blurry.
Change your setting to P (program) or Auto (automatic) and see if that helps.

Picture white

it could be from the erratic flash of light, against the sun, you can try focusing.

also turn the flash to auto mode.

Blurry white image when pics are taken during broad daylight

Try first to reset your camera. Press the menu button, go over to setup, go down to reset, press the right arrow, highlight reset and press set. Don't worry it won't erase any of the pictures on your memory card. If that doesn't work you can try and manually set the white balance on your camera and I would recommend sending it into repairs if that doesn't work since it's taking nighttime pictures fine. :)
