My boss just bought the most basic keyboard from office depot, and it is usb, (plug and play), therefore it isn't recognized on our office computers which are windows 2000. Is there some kind of driver I can download for a usb keyboard?
If your keyboard is the most basic as you state then surely Windows 2000 should have the drivers for this keyboard in it's Windows Cab files. If however there is a problem with the keyboard it best to go to Device Manager and see what Win 2000 is complaining about. It may also be that you have used a PS2 keyboard before -this will bring about that Win2000 will be looking for the old Keyboard and ignore the USB one. In device manager klick on keyboards-in the dropdown right click on your keyboard-click uninstall.Let windows then uninstall the keyboard and restart with your USB board connected.Windows should pick it up and install.Regards
