MMC cards are nearly extinct and hard to find. SD cards should still be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Be sure to get SD cards and not SDHC cards, as the latter will not work in the C340.

Just purchased new SD card will not work

The C340 works with MMC and SD cards. Your new 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it will not work with devices that haven't been specifically designed to work with SDHC cards. You will need to stay with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I have a new memory card, a Toshiba 16GB, and my Kodak C340 says the card needs formatting. The camera will not format the card. Can formatting be done on my computer? If so, how?

The C340 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 16GB card is a SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use a MMC or SD card, which top out at 2GB.

What type of memory card do i use for kodak easy share c310 camera

The C310 works with MMC and SD cards. MMC cards are nearly obsolete and hard to find, so I suggest SD cards. Be sure you get an SD card, 2GB and smaller. Larger cards are actually SDHC cards and will not work in the C310.

When I take a picture it goes to internal memory and not to my sd card. What is wrong?

First, make sure you're using a supported card. The C340 works with MMC and SD cards. If your card is larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and won't work.

If you do have a supported card, make sure the image storage location is set to Auto. In the Review mode, press the Menu button then select Image Storage (camera and memory card symbol).
