I need to rest my router - NetGear Computers & Internet

Routers do not require drivers to be installed in a computer. The only driver necessary to communicate with a router is whatever driver you need for the networking card (wired or wireless) contained in the computer. The rest is done via standard networking protcols.

Typically on the back of the router will be a button or small pin sized hole labelled "reset". Press and hold for 10 seconds and this will reset ALL settings on the router to factory defaults.

if you reset your router you must reconfigure internet and wifi connections

Rest it.To rest locate the reset button in the back of the router.With a tooth pick press gently upon the lights blinks.The satrt anew configuration at http://192.168.1.0 or the router default IP.

The route should have a rest button. normally on the back. Press and hold it,power up the router, and hold the rest button for five seconds after power up. The router should now rest to factory defult settings. factory password should in the manual that came with the router.

If you haven't changed it before, just leave the username blank and enter "admin" (without quote) as password. This is the default of all linksys routers.

Please follow the steps to reset the router in a different way

1) Press the reset button for 10 secs and after that unplug the power cable from the router and wait for 10 secs
2) Plug the power cable back and press the reset button again for 10 secs and after that unplug the power cable from the router and wait for 10 secs
3) Plug the power cable back and press the power button for 10 secs again and unplug the power cable from the router for 10 secs

After trying these steps if you see the power light still blinking then you need to replace the router. Please call the customer care of linksys 1800 546 5797,they will let you know how to replace the router

rest is read and configure

You need to reset your router. Look on the back of the router. There should be a reset option. Press and on the rest button with a stick pin or something. Unplug the cable/dsl modem from the ac outlet. Then unplug the router from the ac. Plug the cable/dsl modem back in wait a few minutes then plug in your router. You need your router setup software again so you can rest your wifi security. When you are setting it back up you can see your WiFi key you can log on.
