Question about HP Photosmart 3310 Printer
What you are trying to print is created in RGB. This means it is a photo that has been created in a color format that will ONLY print if you print it in full color. If you try to print your photo item in only black, it will only print what it sees in TV Colors, a combination of RED GREEN BLUE. This is why you will only get part of the image printed when only in black.
The only way to change it to print the whole image in all black, is to open the image you are trying to print in Photoshop or another professional grade photo program, and to change the settings of the image to CMYK, effectively, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black. Then, change the image once again - to GREYSCALE. This will effectively change all the colors to a SHADE OF GREY, in different HUES.
Save the picture as a JPEG, and then print from the desktop, from your picture viewing software that came with your computer, and you will see everything print out from the black ink, in greyscale.
