I have a kenmore refrigerator Model 363.9771612. It has an ice cube maker but that is not hooked up. I keep finding water on the floor of the refrigerator and I cannot figure where the water is coming from. Any ideas?

On some models there is a condensation pan...is it still in place?

look up the manual & see if it shows a collection tray?"

usually a hose just above the tray to direct condensate into the pan?

Ice maker not making ice

Sounds like the intake line at the entrance to the refrigerator is plugged with lime residue. It has a needle valve in the center and will clog with foreign material, this can be cleaned out by forcing compressed air pressure backwards thru this connection to remove tiny particles inside.

Water accumulates in the bottom of the freezer, model FRS26ZRG, then melts out onto the floor

the water drain is clogged, when a freezer goes in to a defrosting cycle it MELTS the excessive ice build up and the water drains throug a drain (usually in the back of the freezer) than goes in to a pan under the freezer to evaporate until the next defrosting cycle, so check the pan if it's not full of dust or debrie (cat toy HA!) as well...

Cheers!

Filter replacement

Hi and welcome FixYa. I am Kelly.

I have to assume we are talking about a refrigerator. The question listing is under blenders and if so that is one fancy blender.

On most refrigerators the filter is in the lower left side of the floor grill. The will be lable that says press to release. Then you turn the filter cap counter clock wise to unlock the filter. When installing the new filter you must swap the cap from the old filter to the new one then press in hard and turn Clockwise until it locks in place. (see the instruction sheet with the new filter)

Thanks for using FixYa,

Kelly

May tag fridge freezerGS2625GEKS hi guys this is 4 years old unit i get ice blocking the vents on the bottom of the freezer and once a week water leakage on the floor can you please help

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Need instructions on how to use.

Go to GE website or any brand and look for user manuals. They have recipes and instructions. And it's all free information! Try these:

http://www.gehousewares.com/products/840079000_1068232922783.pdf

http://www.gehousewares.com/Product_Search.aspx then select FOOD PREP, then BLENDER, then SEARCH and there will be about 10 user manuals you can browse for instructions and recipes. Instructions for blenders are pretty much the same. Don't put too much in the jar, no more than 3/4 full - I keep mine to 1/2 full. DOn't make recipe too thick or you will stress the motor - add water, milk or other liquid. Don't do ice cubes unless your machine is made for ice crushing. Good luck!
