The camera will not charge through the USB. In fact connecting the camera to a computer drains the battery faster, since the camera has to expend juice communicating with the computer (even if only to say it has nothing to say). See page 10 of this manual.

SOURCE: I have windows XP and can't upload photos from my

In order to download photos to your PC or laptop, you have to install the drivers for your camera. Please follow these steps.

1- Use the CD which came with your camera and install the drivers. If you do not have your CD, go to fuji website and download it.

http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital/download/01/index.html

2- After installing the drivers, connect your camera to your computer and on the dial select play and turn the camera on.

3- If the drivers are installed correctely, when you click start, computer you would see an icon with all or part of Fuji FinePix J10 Digital. Double click on this icon. You would see one or more folders which contain the stored pictures or videos. Now you are able to download, copy delete the stored pictures in your camera.

SOURCE: how do you charge the battery on a fuji finepix z digital camera

The battery does not charge via USB.

Place the battery into the charger, then plug the charger into a wall socket.

Refer to the section titled "Charging the Battery" in the manual.

Testimonial: "Thank You, now all I have to do is purchase a charger."

SOURCE: Can I charge Coolpix S210 via USB cable and wall outlet?

No. In order to keep down the size and weight, the camera does not include the circuitry needed to charge the battery.

SOURCE: accidentally hit reset and lost

Camera reset or system restore won't be necessory to erase all your data (on the memory card or stick of your FIJI camera). You can rely on this digital photo recovery software to get them back easily.

Just Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back untill you can retrieve your photos safely!

Is Fuji FinePix A700 compatible with Windows 8

It doesn't matter to the camera what type of computer you have.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Can i charge my camera with the usb

No, charging the battery via USB port is not possible with your Fuji Finepix Z20fd Digital Camera. The USB port can be used for just 2 purposes: (1) connect to USB-compatible printer (to directly print pix), and (2) connect to a PC with a USB port (to upload pix). The only way to charge the camera's batttery
looks like the separate "supplied battery charger."

Check out page iv. of the onine version of your camera"s Users Manual.
