This may not be possible with the set you have, at last count that company used nearly 25 different remote codes and many remotes will not program for them.
if it works everything else then it could just be the the button is broken, I would go get a cheap univrsal remote and it will do the trick. The factory replacment remote will cost way to much
try a ribbon cable in the back? or if ur not so compident send it to someone like some1 in the area u live to repair it......and one more thing...NEVER BUY THINS FROM HONG KONG...haha its all cheap yeah but they don't last
After I typed in "replacement TV remotes" into the Google searchbox, I received numerous hits. One website in particular (Remotes.com) , sells several replacement remotes for Techview TVs. Their tollfree number is 1-800-REMOTES.
The Techview company is no longer in business, which explains why it is not currently listed in the TV code booklets you used.
I have a Conia LCD TV and the remote died, I purchsed a universal remote and without the codes even on search modes could not get it to find the t.v. I found theat DJ Electronics sell replacement Conia TV remotes online. So if you just need areplcement remote, know your TV model number and you can just replce your old remote.
