How i fix the problem of xerox phaser 3117 laser printer that takes a paper in and makes noise and stop printing?

Hi Narendra,
This is really difficult to answer without being on site!
All I can think of is perhaps you have some piece of paper stuck inside.
If you had some paper stuck before, and you had to pull it out causing a piece to rip off try putting the bits back together again on the desk, if you can't find them all then that's the bit still stuck inside you need to look out for inside.
If in doubt you will need to get your local engineer to have a look inside.
Good Luck.

Xerox XD120F copy machine not pulling paper through to make a copy. Might grab paper and then jamb.

If the paper is not pulling out of the tray, you should replace the feed rollers. They are easy to replace.
If it is pulling the paper about 2/3 of the way through the machine, you would most likely have a broken fuser heat roll gear, again cheap and easy to replace.

Xerox Phaser 6120 cannot feed paper without help

As this is an old posting I should imagin you might have it sorted by now.
if you have these type of problems clean the feed in rollers with a alcohol wipe or similar. There is usually a solonoid / clutch release mechanism that controls the paper selected from tray. I would go for the simplest solution. Over time the rollers get coated in paper lint, clean water is usually best if that fails perhaps an alcohol wipe might improve matters.
Good luck.

Printing problems

Hi!

Could be a couple of things, but it sounds like the tires on the paper roller have worn out.

Like tires on a car, the slightly abbrasive surface of the rubber tires on the paper roller will go smooth over time...causing the rollers to slip on the paper instead of pulling it throuh the printer.

It's a relatively cheap/easy to install part.
You can contact Xerox for the part: www.xerox.com or other websites such as: www.sparepartswarehouse.com.

There may also be a local Xerox service centre where you live (most major cities have at least one) & the tires will be a very common part for them.

...If it's not the tires, it could also be the mechanism that lower the roller onto the paper. If this is damaged (or not calibrated correctly) the printer will have problems feeding the paper through as well.

The only easy suggestion here (if you're not comfortable replacing parts yourself) would be to take it to a registered Xerox service centre for maintenance.

Hope this helps!!
