It works fine in Windows 7 except that there's a bug in Windows 7 that adds lots of noise to the mic. It's easy to work around, though: Go into Recording devices, Properties button, Levels tab, right click on the level number so that it shows in decibels, and then adjust the level to 0 dB. It's supposed to be at 0 dB but Windows 7 defaults it to 30 dB for no reason. This isn't a problem on Windows XP.
When stepping up to a new operational system there are dangers where compatability will be an issue, I would go to the Samsung site under driver download to see if they offer a driver update for windows 7 for your model.
The best place to get drivers to enable you connect your device to your PC is the samsung support website. Visit the samsung support website from there you can download the driver for your device which will be compatible for both XP and windows 7. Hope this solution has been helpful?
i have the same problem. It had worked once with the pc suite ver that was provided wit the phone. But with updating to PC Studio 1.5.1.10064_2 does not work. Even the mass storage gives I/O errors midway.
If it is NOT compatible then there really is NO WAY to make it work. You may be able to run in compatibility mode, and try that. As Administrator, right click on the install .exe, then select the "Compatibility tab" and set it for XP SP2. Now also RUN the Insyall program as Administrator. This may work, if not then I am afraid you are unable to use it, unless you go back yo XP SP2.
Undoubtably. I don't think you are going to have much joy Win 7 doesn't play well with the USB layer, and old drivers... You could try, installing in Admin mode, set compatability for XP SP2, & run all/any .exe as Admin too.
