It is quite possible the microphone on your cellphone is damaged..

You can possibly use an earphone/bluetooth to bypass this issue. Or get it repaired by your local cellphone technician..

Vtech cordless phone. When I call out or receive a call the person on the other line cannot hear me but I can hear them clearly. What to do to fix the problem?

1. In settings try to turn up the volume.
2. Using a Q tip and some alcohol make sure the mouth speaker is clear.
3. Check with Telco to make sure the telephone line itself is working properly.

I can't hear the person on the other end of the line but they can hear me

Please make sure the receiver volume is ON. Then please try turning on your speaker phone and see if you can hear. If you can hear by turning on speakerphone then your earpiece does not work.
Please also try resetting the phone and see if this helps. For reset instructions please go to www.resetcellphone.com

Our line one cuts out even when we're talking on it & we can just barely hear the person on the line but they can hear us clearly. We have unplugged the phone's power cord & plugged it back in...

I have the same sort of problem...kinda..lol. My Vtech sorta 'cuts out' when there is noise at my hosue. The person I'm talking to can still hear me but I can't hear them. If my son starts crying or there's any other loudish type noises on my end, it's like the phone is trying to cutout my background noise, but all it's cutting out is the person talking to me. It's not that the noises in my house are loud and I jsut can't hear the person I"m talking to, b/c if i cover the mouth peice then no matter how loud the sound in my house is i can still hear the person i'm talking to but I HAVE to keep the mouth peice covered. It's really annoying!

Speaker phone problem

It is possible. I have ATT 945(?) 4 line phones that communicate via a DSL-like signal between units to do special things like intercom, etc.

What I have in my setup is that I have a seperate line from the point of entry of my phone line to my DSL modem.

I then have TWO stacked DSL filters PER LINE that feed the main phone line running to all the phones.

Be AWARE that when using the speaker phone there is a modulation of the gains both directions. When you talk OR have a noisy background noise, the gain of the speaker is cut down to prevent feedback. And when you go silent, the speaker gain is increased for you to hear the other side of the call. Essentially it takes as much discipline as the old two-way radios... one talker at a time with these speaker phones AND very little background noise.

Mute voice call

maybe you have your phone on mute, to where you can hear them but they can't hear you? Next time you make a call, tell that person to hold on and if they can't hear you, look through the option menus you can access only when you're in the middle of a call. Otherwise, contact the phone company and gripe.
