Can I hook these directly to my TV - Jensen JP1200 Main / Stereo Speaker

Direct tv will hook up to any tv especially if it has a cable coax connection if not you have to have an adapter

Start at the beginning:

Hook a DVD to one of the rear sets of audio/video jacks--go to that input and verify it works.

If so, hook the direct TV to another rear input and select that---if no picture that way---the box may be the issue or wrong hookup--composite to composite or component to component (most likely).

If the set works with DVD and not DIRECT TV it is not smart enough to know what is hooked to it.

In that case a setting or the connection out from the box is the problem---check on screen menu for the box in setup.

Box may need to be rebooted with it connected to set or wrong hookup of cables.

check the configuration of your TV with remote control

does your dvr have componet video connections

leave direct tv cables where they are, and hook up dvd player directly to tv (do not hook up dvd player to direct tv box, it will not work)

Hook your Insignia box between your antenna and your television. You still need the antenna.

Directly to the tv, unless you have a VERY old tv, it should hook up to either the back or the front of the tv through the 3 colors (white/red(audio) yellow(video)

Dear eligas1312, Most probably your antinna is not reciving TV signals properly.Try to adjust it in a right direction at a proper height, also adjust frequency of various channel of Direct TV through menu button. regards ajay
