My screen started to become unviewable, for some reason the screen looks like it has 3 patterns in layers offset by an inch and each pattern is a different color .... Is this fixable ?
just had a Mitsubishi VS-50609 50" TV (floor Model) moved from one location to another. During the process, the plastic sealer, that holds the screen and the case together, was cracked. When I turn the TV on now, there is a problem with the color. There is a rather large spot of green and red on the top right corner, and when you pull up the menu screen, or a picture, there are 3 echoing rows of color overlapping wherever the words/people are. I gave this advice out before and it applies in this case so here goes:
What is happening is that your convergence amplifier modules are beginning to go bad. These amplifiers are what amplify the signals used for convergence (how the RGB lights line up on each other) when they go bad the RGB lights tend to bow towards the center of the TV and the colors begin to mis-align. There are many sites devoted to doing the changing of the amplifiers yourself, however although these sites are accurate and give the instructions on how to change the amplifiers they do very little for actualtroubleshooting and finding the underlying cause of the problem. In most cases its just that the amp modules have gone bad, but sometimes there is an overheating problem that triggers the damage. I would suggest having a TV repair person come to your place to check the problem and to fix it. The repair should cost about $250.00

Unplug the tv and leave it unplugged for a couple hours. Plug tv back in press reset button. TV led may flash for a day but should come on. I did this last night to mine and it came on at 11am today.
Maybe your colour setting is wrong or worse your color tube is no good. You will have to change the screen settings (color). If it wont work probably color tube is gone.
Good Luck
Make sure you have no colent leking on the bord these set many I worked on had colent leaks that cused it to shut down. does the set come back on when it's cool? could be a bad soder joint. allso there could be bad caps. deos it come back on if you unpluge the set for 5 sec and plug back in that resets the set.
