It is a bad power supply and that is common on that set, if you remove the back of the set and check the power supply board, you will find a couple of electrolytic caps that need change, or just replace the power supply.

We are having somewhat the same problem. Sometimes it will come on and sometimes not. If we keep working either the on/off button on the TV or the remote, it will come on most of the time.

My son hit the tv and now it wont urn on

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

I have a 32" insignia LCD TV. My remote stop

You can reset your remote control by removing the batteries, pressing all of its buttons, and installing new batteries. Also, ensure that your TV's sensor is clean and unobstructed. If the problem persists, try using a universal remote control as a troubleshooting step. This will help identify whether the original remote or the TV is at fault.

1) Switch on the TV set
2) Press the TV button on the Sky Remote
3) Hold down the select and red buttons for 2-3 seconds until the LED blinks twice
4) Press the TV button on the Sky Remote again
5) Enter the 4 digit code for your make of TV (try 0206)
6) The LED should blink twice, if not recheck the 4 digit code used and go back to 1
7) Press the standby button on the Sky Remote (The TV should go to standby)
8) Press select to store this setting If the TV does not go into standby press the TV button then the standby button, then TV then standby, keep repeating this until successful. This will scan the codes used for a particular make of TV.

Insignia 32" tv, sometimes it will not turn back on after it's been off.. the remote green light just blinks

Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Set up menu

Hi - if you have this hooked up to a TV cable HD box, you have to make sure you hit "TV" on the cable box remote in order to set up the TV menu. I had to figure this out also with my Insignia 32" LCD TV.
