So how can I get music on my MP3 player now?? I bought it from Best Buy and used their store... so I can't have music on it at all unless I pay for it every month?

Unfortunately you will haev to renew your best buy membership - there are no permanent freebies with that music svc - must constantly renew..

Or you can try to use limewire which I wouldnt recommend you to use since its illegal...

I hope that helps

My sansa clip wont play the songs it says synchronize with music subscription why

If your device can play some songs before, then it appears "...subscription..." meaning that Songs are protected or expired. You used Rhapsody to sync songs before? If so, trial expired or after 30 days the songs expired. Therefore, you need connect your device to Rhapsody do subscription.

Unit comes on plays song , but beeps when you try to change sony and replays same song that just played . got any suggestions on how to fix

ok. the beeps mean that you have had a "subscription track" with the best buy music store and your subscription has expired. these will not be usable unless you renew it. and go to the last option on the main menu of the player. under the settings, you should select the "Rep/Shuffle" option and go from there.

When playing my mp3 the songs that i have downloaded off my pc from a paid site, across the screen of the sansa says synchronize to continue your music subsription. the songs will not play please help me

Even though you should be able to resynchronize the files through Rhapsody in order to update the licenses on the music files, in my experience with this player, you have to go through a long, painful process:
1) Open Rhapsody
2) Connect your mp3 player to the computer
3) Delete the songs off the player itself using Windows Media Player - but make sure you still have a copy of these songs on your computer
4) Reload the Rhapsody songs

If your subscription to rhapsody expires, you will no longer be able to use the songs unless you buy them from the Rhapsody Mp3 Store.

My unit tells me my subscription has run out. Connect to my PC to Synoize to continue to use. I have done so and gone to Rapsody & the Best Buy ditgal music store. I cannot get the process I need. This...

Within Rhapsody itself, there is an option to synchronize files to your device. You will have to use this feature with your Sansa Clip connected to the computer. Since the songs are already on the device, this will prove difficult. You may actually have to delete the songs off your player, and then reload them through Rhapsody to get them back on the player. Painful and tedious, but that is the only workaround that I know of using Rhapsody's WMA files.

A better solution would be to change your Rhapsody subscription to their Mp3 Only subscription level. It is more expensive, but the songs you download through that subscription level will continue to work, even after your Rhapsody subscription has expired. And it will never give you the message that you mentioned in your problem description, because mp3 files do not need resynchronizing b/c they do not have DRM license restrictions.

My MP3 player displays "License Expired" on the screen.

If you let your subscription to Rhapsody expire, you will get this message. If you didn't let your subscriptino expire then you will need to synch the files from Rhapsody itself back onto the player - the licenses have to be renewed once a year for some songs - once a month for others. If your subscriptino ever expires, you can no longer use the songs.

Well i had the mp3 player for about 2 months and now it says "your subscription has expired. connect to your PC." then it says "synchronize to continue your music subscription" would i still be able to...

I actually had that same problem. You got it from Best Buy, correct? What happens is the trial for the Best Buy Rhapsody downloads expired. That basically means that all of the music files you downloaded from there have been locked and you can no longer listen until you purchase a rhapsody subscription. What I did when that happened to me was to delete all of the songs and just reload everything. It's rather inconvenient but it does work. For future reference, it's a lot easier to just never try out that trial because erasing it is quite a challenge.

My insignia NS-2v17b MP3 player will only play 3 songs. The other 56 songs downloaded on it are skipped. While trying to go between songs the MP3 player will beep several times. I counted and it beeps for...

Yes. You have to have an active account to keep listening to those songs. On another note (no pun intended) anything that you OWN in your music files will play for you.
I quit the subscription from Best Buy, deleted the songs I didn't own and now I am satisfied.

After I go to Best buy digital music store and download the tracks I want onto my MP3 player, it still tells me to synchronize to continue my subscription.

Your getting that msg b/c some or all of the songs do not have "transfer rights" - that music service is bad, b/c you pay once for the subscription, and then have to pay again per track to be able to play the songs on your player.

I'm not sure if you're using a Sansa mp3 player or what, but you do not have to use Best Buy's music svc. You can use Napster To Go or a host of others. Bearshare is pretty nice.

Cant play songs off my playlist

AAAaaaahhhhhh...

You can thank Microsoft for creating Digital Rights Management.

Okay...I'm assuming this is an MP3 that you loaded using the Rhapsody-to-go or other music service that allows for subscription music.

What the MP3 player is telling you is that because you have subscription music and not purchased music, the DRM allows you to only play the song or songs 30-90 days after download. To continue to listen to the songs, you will need to open your Media Manager software (Best Buy Digital Music Service, Rhapsody, WMP11, Media Monkey, etc) connect your MP3 player to the PC, identify the MP3 player through the media manager and tell it to re-authorize your tracks. Once its finished you'll be able to play your songs for another 30-90 days. You will need to repeat this re-authorizing to continue to play the tracks.

Unable to play new songs added to MP3 player

Wal mart downloads are notorious for not working with subscription devices (i.e. - devices that use rhapsody, or yahoo.).

You have 2 options;

 1) dont use any music from wal-mart

 2) burn the music to a cd, the re-rip them to your PC, thusly removing any copy protection and then re-transfer them to your device.

Best of Luck.
