I believe the Syma S018 is the same as my Yiboo UJ417.
Mine never got off the ground out after charging for an hour.
It just skitters along the ground. Must be a bad battery. Returning it if I can.
Hi...I posted this problem and have found the solution so I thought I would post it to help others. After taking the whole darn thing apart with a magnifying glass, I figured out that due to a crash or two, the shaft for the lower blades had popped out. The blades would still spin but just from friction. Just pinch the machine body and push down on the whole blade shaft assembly and you will feel a pop as it goes back in, then you will find the thing revs up again and does not spin out of control because the lower blades are now rotating properly.
