I think I turned the oven onto the clean when trying to turn the oven off. The door locked after I opened the door and now the door will not close because the latch is in the lock position. How do I get it to unlock?

Normally pressing the clear/off button for three to five seconds should clear this mode and unlock the latch. you can also try and unplug the unit and press the clear off button

Opened oven door before it could lock while I was

try unplugging the unit,
depending on your exact model it may just be lost in the programming becuse it sensed the door open while locking so it shuts down the lock for safety
just unplugging if for a few minutes might clear the error enough for the lock to rotate back to closed
position

Dacor CPO230, can't get lock to engage for self cleaning. I follow step clean symbolcomes up door lock moves into locked position then beeping starts and the word door flashes and the lock opens up.

For some reason the oven thinks you have a door that is not shut all of the way. Check the locking slot to make sure that there are no obstructions. Make sure that you are only doing one oven at a time, and not trying to cook in the other. Make sure you have no racks in the oven. Try pushing lightly on the door when the lock engages. For some reason your lock isn't engaging fully and that's why door is flashing. Good Luck
Below is from the owners manual for your oven.

Oven does not self-clean Door not shut tight Check for obstructions. Close door tightly
Oven set for delay timed cleaning Oven will start to self-clean at preset time.
Press CANCEL/SECURE to return to
normal operation
Double ovens only: Other oven is on. Turn off other oven.

Maytag Gemini Electric Oven - Lower is not locked, but will not open.

Usually, starting with a COLD oven, turn the self clean on. Wait 3 minutes, then turn it off [cancel] WAIT 1 minute at least, do not immediately pull on the door. This should reset the lock sync. If you cannot get it open still, you may have a faulty sensor that thinks the oven is overheated, or at this point you could have a bent actuator rod from all the tugging!

Oven door that wont come unlocked

sounds like you have a latch/lock issue. the unit seems to think the door is still currently locked, preventing proper operation, i would try to see if you can locate the door/light switch and manually trip it with your hand(turning off light). then while keeping depressed activate the self clean mode again, the machine will try to engage the lock/latch, as soon as it does then cancel it and it will return back to a normal resting location. you must keep the light switched pushed in order for this to work correctly

Locked oven door

try turning off the circuit breaker, resetting the power sometimes trips the self clean latch to operate, youll need to push in the door light switch.(it will have to think the door is closed to operate)

Oven door open

Turn the operating mode dial to self-clean, then manually hold in for about 20 seconds the light pin on the oven rim. The lock will eventually open after 20 or so seconds. Turn off the operating dial and the door will close.

Oven door won't unlock

I fixed the automatic oven door lock on my oven. While the door was open, I pushed the button on the upper left hand side a couple of times (the one that senses when the door is closed.) Then I was going to call the repairman when the door closed! I had to run the self clean cycle again to get the lock light to go off, but it worked!
