Often, the automated Microsoft Fixit Tool Utility on the page belwo will solve cd/dvd problems. If not, it will sometimes tell you the exact problem which can be solved another suggested way.

Its not worth to buy just adapter. On amazon here ADS Tech DVD Express 2 0 USBAV 701 you can find it for really cheap price. take a look. cheers

ununstall CapWiz reboot then reinstall CapWiz and drivers

The drivers are provided on the disc with the Video Express. ADSTech does not make the software available for free. Check the website on the supplied link. Install the software and then attach the Video Express, in that order.

Found out equipment is broken and requested Fixya to cancel any and all assistance/tech programs I might have inadvedrtently signed up for.

Go to adstech.com for the downloads in the support section. Note: I see only drivers for Vista as the latest (they may work)
