Hello

first , try to save your data on a USB drive or on your hard disk drive.
if you cant, dont worry --- If you dont have the MSO 2010 CD, go to this link and download MS OFFICE 2010 trial version - you get full access for about 60 days or so, but at least you retrive your Word files and anything else you created using MS OFFICE . http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads

this will install over the current version - dont worry you wont lose your data files you created in Word.

this should help --

You have to own the software. Without a Product Key, you cannot use it

You can use open office, which is free and does everything Microsoft Office does, but it's free! and fully compatible!

Download it here:

http://www.openoffice.org/

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Thanks, Joe

How to find referral key?

If the program is genuine and licensed, then just activate it on the Microsoft website and, under Support and Activation, let the site scan your computer to authenticate the license. If the software is licensed it will automatically be authenticated and the usage and Automatic Updates permitted, removing the need for you to enter a Product ID.

If the softwares is unlicensed, the Microsoft website will permit you to buy
and download an Activation Code that will automatically authenticate the installed Office software and automatically therefore bypass any usage limitations and Automatic Updates restrictions.

Microsoft generates codes called Product IDs that associate genuine Microsoft software with genuine Microsoft licenses permitting the user to install and use the software with the permission of the copyright owner. Without an authentic Product ID, the software is illegal and the installation and use of it could be considered to be software piracy and copyright theft which, in certain circumstances, could involve the user in civil legal issues or even a law enforcement problems. Not knowing about a Law does not always count as an acceptable Defense in legal matters, especially when someone else's rights have been affected.

If this copy of Microsoft Office is unlicensed, then the need to input a code before completing the installation or using the program is the just the first in a long list of potential obstacles that could culminate in the program locking you out completely and therefore becoming totally unusable. As things stand, even if you were successful in installing the program, you would probably still be unable to benefit from essential Microsoft Office Automatic Updates, enhancements, security patches and upgrades from Microsoft.

For your own peace of mind, I would urge you to use only a genuine licensed copy of Microsoft Office or you will almost certainly have authorization problems such as the ones you are starting to experience, which make you having the software purposeless.

Another option for you is to buy and install a deeply discounted, genuine, licensed copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Plus Edition starting from about $85 (plus shipping and packing charges) or Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus Edition for about $78 (plus shipping and packing charges) from similar websites to the ones listed below (based in or near your geographical location):

The only legal downloads of Microsoft products are available from Microsoft. Microsoft does not currently offer downloads of old products like Microsoft Office 2007 or Office 2003. The Microsoft Office product you can download is the Trial version of the latest version of Microsoft Office in the market, Microsoft Office 2010 Trial. Trial versions of Microsoft Office are free to download but can be only used for the usually the 60 day duration of the limited trial period. when the trial period is over, to continue using the software, you have to upgrade to the full version by buying an online Activation Code from Microsoft that unlocks the trial version's time lock, enabling perpetual use of the software from that point in time.

If this is necessary for you but do not wish to or cannot afford to buy Microsoft Office, then you have the useful option of downloading, installing and using one of the totally free Office Suite applications like Open Office, which compares very favorably with Microsoft Office and can open, edit and manage the majority of the most common types of Microsoft Office spreadsheets, databases and documents. Open Office costs nothing at all to download, install and use because It is an Open Source software application, although you can make the development team a small optional donation, if you wish.

The Trial and Activation Code download website for Microsoft Products is:

www.microsoft.com

The
Open Office download website is:

Multimedia audio controller

If you are looking to download the Audio Driver for the T42 with Windows XP - the link to download that is: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/1ga241ww.exe

If that is not what you are looking for - then you can try to run the Windows Update and see if Microsoft can update the driver for you. To run Windows Update, open Internet Explorer and check under the Tools menu for Windows Update.

My daughter has a laptop with a trial version of office 2007 it now needs converting where can i get a product key from

The most cost effective way is from the internet. The current version is 2010, and you should seek that version. Plan to spend about $100 to $120 US for professional version, less for home or student versions...Beware that Outlook is NOT included in the home versions of 2010.

you can buy a license from Microsoft, but it costs more that way.

Microsoft says my os is not an authentic version but it is

Sometimes Windows asks for you CD as a security measure if your security has been used too many times.

You could run into some problems with updates unless this is corrected.
