I purchased a whirlpool electric range 2 yrs ago.When I use the stove top the elements go on an off..It has taken me 45 minutes to boil 6cups of water.When I called WHIRLPOOL about this,I was told "it was normal for element to"cycle"..Now that the holidays are comming,I cringe at the thought of cooking on this inept range.Has anyone else have this problem?? Im desperate to find an answer to this b/4 the holidays Thanks

If you have replaced the dual element with a new one, and have verified that you have the wiring installed correctly, it may be the infinite switch that controls the element that is bad. That would be the switch behind the control knob for the element in question.

Hi I have a whirlpool gold range mdl GJSP 84902 and had replaced the bottom hidden element after finding out it wasn't getting any heat. So replacement took a little figuring out. it ws easy after a removal of screws and pulling out the whole oven casing out fron the front. Anyhow I still don't get enough heat generate from the bottom element, what other cause are there. checked fuses wiring all is connected HELP ME PLEASE !!!!! thank you Paul

"Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)"

But verify this as I am not an appliance repair specialist. I am a computer nerd who just knows how to find information. I am actually trying to figure out an answer to my own problem with my Whirlpool Gold Accubake.
