Both my digital cameras will take pictures for awhile, then go black for awhile, then take pics again for awhile. One will beep at me, one makes a clicking noise, when they go black. Happens with either battery or adapter power. Why?

  • lhutchsn Jun 18, 2008

The one that beeps is a Fuji Fine Pix 1400 Zoom and the one that clicks is an Olympus C700 Ultra Zoom.

  • lhutchsn Jun 18, 2008

Does anybody know what causes this problem?

I think this is due to some small loose connection in the camera.

that is what making the screen black.

and more over the clicking noise may be due to some mechanical breakage

which can be repaired only at service centers.

  • Anonymous Jun 18, 2008

The clicking noise is the internal focus lens. The camera is
very susceptible to debris getting in the lens. Or, the focus lens was
    knocked out of alignment.

when ever the internal focus tries to adjust the image the image will came. at the same time there wil be a change in the image display of the LCD

this wil cause the LCD to turn OFF.

making a service of lens assembly wil get u fixed sir.

dont forget to accept the solution if u go by it.

    thank you

    good luck

    have a great day

1). Bad or defective CCD. and/or

2). shutter not working.

in the first case the only solution is the replacement of the CCD. and in the later case sticking of shutter blade, non functioning of shutter blade will cause the problem. This can be rectified by sending it to some repairer

My camera stops when I try to take foto. What I need to do?

the focus is probley not focused and the camera has a program to prevent u taking pics when its not focused or is focusing at the time u press the button.
( and its a stupid concept) or if u been taking many pics within a short time like a pic every 2 secs ur memory card speed may not be able to keep up with the pics being downloaded to it. temporaily making it so the camera will not take pics untill the others are on the card.

make sure u partaly press down the picture button so the camera will go into auto focus mode. when it beeps ( most cameras beep) u can take the shot.

I don't see why people love this camara... I usually have it on portrait mode because any other mode will make my pics blurry. When I have it on portrait mode when i take my pics it flashes twice (i dont...

In portrait mode the pre-flash helps prevent red-eye in your pictures. You can set the flash to do this in other modes. As far as improving your pictures, are you pressing the shutter button half-way and allowing the camera to lock in the focus (it will beep) before pressing the rest of the way or do you just press the button all the way every time hoping to get lucky?

Problems with the samsung camera. the screen is blank black!

Sounds like the ZIF connector for the screen or another part came loose. I will say it sounds like a hardware issues and I would strongly recommend looking into coverage via manufactures parts and repair coverage. About the picture folder not showing up, If your using the camera cord to attach it to the computer Make sure you turn the camera on after connecting, if the drive for the camera does not appeare in " Computer " I would say get a card reader for the SDHC cards and try to load the pictures through there.

If this error message appears, turn off the camera and remove the batteries for 30 seconds. Afterwards, reinsert the batteries and turn the camera back on. If this doesn't work, perform a manual reset of the camera. If you need an online manual here is a link with troubleshooting http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DSCW40_EN.pdf
