Welcome to Fixya

Looks like the software just hanged-up on you. Try to reset the Ipod by following the procedures below.

1st option:
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).
You may need to repeat the reset several times.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.

2nd option (Disk Mode):
Plug the iPod into a high-powered USB port, let it sit for 2 hours, then disconnect it. If you have a wall charger, plug in the iPod, then follow these steps while it is still plugged in.
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears
Immediately switch your figures to press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until "Disk Mode" appears at the top.
For a lot of people, this solves the problem. Connect the iPod to the computer and (assuming it shows up) reset the iPod again to get it out of Disk Mode. If at this point you still have the white screen, restore the iPod using the restore function in iTunes under the Summary tab (this will erase everything on the iPod and put it at factory settings).
Note: Do not disconnect or eject the iPod until the store is totally done. After you think it's done, wait another five minutes.

My iPod is just a white screen. when I try to restart it, it beeps twice, the screen shuts off, then the white screen comes back on.

Try this 1.Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off. 2.Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears 3.Immediately switch your figures to press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until "Disk Mode" appears at the top.
If this doesn't help try reseting it to factory settings from itunes(Warning!! resetting will erase everything from the ipod)

I have the white screen on my ipod nano 2nd gen i tried the reboot, restore, debug everything i cant see any logos text or anything i cracked my old screen ao i bought this put it in and bam white screen...

Hi.

This is probably caused by not allowing the firmware update to finish the installation before disconnecting the iPod. Try these steps:

Reset the iPod:
  1. Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).
  3. You may need to repeat the reset several times.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.

Put iPod into Disk Mode:

Apple suggests that you ensure your iPod is charged before following the next step. How exactly you check a charge on an iPod screen that is completely white has yet to be revealed. But hey, give it a shot anyway. Plug the iPod into a high-powered USB port, let it sit for 2 hours, then disconnect it. If you have a wall charger, plug in the iPod, then follow these steps while it is still plugged in.
  1. Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears

Don't disconnect or eject the iPod until the store is totally done. After you think it's done, wait another five minutes

My ipod nano has a white screen and beeps?

Try reseting it, hold down the "Menu" button and the Middle button for about 7-8 seconds. if that doesn't work then try restoring it, plug it into your computer, open iTunes and select your device, now click "Restore." This will take a few minutes.
Hope it helps!

How to get my language back to english

Select your language.
If you have an iPod nano or Fifth Generation iPod (iPod with video):
  1. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it.
  2. Scroll up one menu item. This should be Settings.
  3. Press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.
  4. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it; in English, this is the "Reset All Settings" option.
  5. Scroll up to the third menu item from the bottom one. This should be Language.
  6. Press the Center button to select Language.
  7. Select your preferred language from the list.
If you have an older iPod with color display (including iPod photo)
  1. Scroll to the fourth menu item in the screen and press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it; in English, this is the "Reset All Settings" option.
  3. Scroll up to the third menu item from the bottom one. This should be Language.
  4. Press the Center button to select Language.
  5. Select your preferred language from the list.
If your iPod has a monochrome display (black and white):
  1. Scroll to the third menu item in the screen and press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.

  4. Press the Center button to select Language.
  5. Select your preferred language from the list.
If the instructions above don't enable you to change the language on your iPod, try using the "Reset All Settings" option at the bottom of the Settings menu. If the Reset All Settings option does not work, you can restore your iPod back to factory condition and reselect the display language.

Blank blue screen nano.

Hi there,
  • First of all do a reset by holding down the Select and Menu buttons.
  • When it's restarted it if it hasn't solved it press and hold the Select and Menu buttons but as soon as the screen goes dark press and hold the Select and rewind buttons. This puts the iPod into diagnostics mode.
  • From there go to 'IO' on the list using the wheel and Select then to Display and keep clicking select as it goes through the different colours and graduations. Hopefully you see them all
  • when it comes to the end it will ask yo to press Menu, so do that.
  • Click Menu again and again until you see reset at the bottom of a list. Go to this and select it.
  • It will now reset and all will be good in the world.
If that hasn't fixed it then it's likely the ribbon for the LCD has become dislodged or damaged. If it has, let me know.

All the best
