Assuming the COPY uses a automatic document feeder. The doc feeder scans doc by passing doc over a narrow window. If there is a dot or several dots in the narrow window, it / they will show up on copies as a line.
Clean the window (looks like a long glass window about 1 inch wide ) carefully with a SLIGHTLY damp towel. Should get rid of the lines.

Can you use the buttons and LCD display to print a "test-page" ?

I have a Lexmark X364DN and would like to change the default paper tray for incoming faxes.

Hi there,
1- Go to Fax Settings menu
2- Under Fax settings menu, look for Fax Receive Settings
3- Under Fax Fax Receive Settings, look for Paper Source
4- Under Paper Source You should find three options: Auto (default), tray <x> (the tray number you want it to print from), or manual feed.
Change according to your preference.
Hope it helps!

There are verticle lines when faxing, copying, and scanning.

This print defect can be caused by a foreign object or substance on the outside of the scanner assembly, usually located on the plastic cover that the paper passes over.

Two black vertical lines appear on copy, pdf, and scan results

  1. Unplug the power cord and the phone line from the wall.
  2. Open the control panel.
  3. Pull the roller lever forward, and then lift the white roller out of the All-In-One.
  4. Note: The scan lens is located under the white roller.
  5. Use a clean, lint-free cloth dampened with water to wipe the white roller and the scan lens.
  6. Reinstall the white roller.
  7. Reconnect the power cord and the phone line.
  8. And then try to copy if get the dame line then its the hardware problem in the printer you must need to replace the scanner unit in the printer ..
Good luck..
