GE puts out the same manual for the single base system (as you will find in the manual) and the ones with extra handsets. There is no difference. This is the manual you need. Is your base near a computer or other electronics? Also, make sure your microwave is not on. I get static if I do any of those things.

I am trying to keep the ringer volume at level 5 of my ge 25942 cordless phone, but it keeps defaulting back to level 4?+++
According to the owner's manual, this is a programmed "feature" of the phone. Evidentally, GE believes level 4 is better than level 5 and won't allow it to stay there.
