My canon ir2018 is giving the following error e007. Pls assist.

Call to 1-800-243-0019 Canon ir 2018 system error e007 code means that the fusing film is out of Home Position or the film is ripped. You will need to most likely have the fixing film.

m good with laser printers but when it comes to copiers. ... I have a Canon IR2018 MFD copier. It started giving me the e007 error. I know this has somthing to do with the fixing film. ... Does anyone have a service manual or a technical diagram of a canon ir2018 copier.....that would help alot. ...

The error E007 code means that the fusing film is worn out or damaged. Worn out is self explanatory, Damage will generally happens when a jam is cleared incorrectly (forcibly or by sticking something like a butter knife into the machine "Do not laugh, I have seen it!"), You will need to most likely have the fusing film replaced. This is beyond most users, you are probably going to have to get a service center to repair it.

The fixing film sensor is faulty.
- Check the connector of the fixing film sensor.
- Replace the fixing film sensor.
- Replace the DC controller PCB.

E007 is fixing film problem. Worn-out fixing film.

Hello sir; Sorry for delay, E007 is a fuser problem, it can be reset ;
press "additional function" "2" and "8" keys in that order, SSSW will display, press "OK" enter 1 using up/down arrow key,then enter bit switch 1 by using left/right arrow key, then change value from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0,press "OK", press "stop", to end the service.

HE PROBLEM IS WITH THE FIXING FILM, IT HAS A SENSOR ON ONE SIDE THAT IS WERE THE FILM IS TORN. REPLACE THE FIXING FILM
