Camera is under warranty, but wonder if there is something i can do myself to fix the problem.
When I turn it on is makes 3 little buzz sounds and turns off before i can even try to do anything to investigate the problem.
The gears for the focusing are either obstructed or slipping. Nothing you can do, send it to casio.

I have the exact same problem. I was a bit careless on a trip to Mexico and the camera did get a bit damp. It worked for a day or two afterwards and then began showing the same problems (grinding when opening the lens, beeping 3 times and shutting the lens). I can still view photos on my camera and transfer pics to computer (thank goodness). But can't figure out how to fix the problem. :(
