My hp laptop notebook jst turned off on me n it wnt turn bk on is there a reset button on it or someway to turn it bk on

Really need a model number to see if it has a reset button but underneath the laptop right in the middle the ze series laptop does have a reset use a paper clip hold it in for 7 seconds,, if no reset button remove battery, unplug from power supply, wait ten muinutes, plug back in, and reinstall battery. ,,,hope this helped

How do i turn it on
first of all u need to makle sure that the laptop has been charged by the ac adapter and u will get the power button of the laptop wen u unfold the notebook jst look around the keyboard of the notebook u will find the power button and jst press it for a while and see whether the notebook turns on or not.

Need to do a hard reset for hp pavilion dv4000 laptop
Hi, you can do a hard rest by following these steps:

Turn off the pc
Remove the cables and the battery on the laptop
Press & hold the power button for 5 seconds
Reinsert the battery and cables to it
Turn on the pc

that is how to do a hard reset....

If password appears before Windows starts, will require complete laptop dismantle to remove cmos battery for 1 hour.


If it appears just before Windows starts, go into safe mode and control panel / passwords / remove password.

have you tried takin battery off and see if it turns on
jst using power adaptor..if not try and switch the memory chip on a
different slot...if still doesnt turn on then gettin a new one will be jst the best solution..hehe..

I wnt reove power on password in hp nx 6310
Remove the battery and to the power cord.
Remove the two screws that secure the keyboard. After removing the keyboard, remove the battery “RTC” to stop providing energy to epprom BIOS. After the upgrade or downgrade, or any repair, leave the Laptop for 5 minutes, without any source of energy.
Then connect only the power cord without battery and without the battery “RTC” of the Bios. then turn on the laptop press f10 change passwords and save changes and exit, put back battery then reconect the rtc battery and done reinstall xp done

Trying to find the reset button om a presario compaq 2005 but cant find it and need help
Like in Desktops, there wont be Reset Buttons available for Notebooks.

If you want to reset the Notebook, all you need to do is to press hold the Power button for 6 to 10 seconds so that the Notebook will be turned off.

The same applies for desktops which donot have Reset button or if the reset button is not working.
