FREEZE

this happens if the rams are of different frequencies have a check with the both the ram frequency ...
if they are different then remove 1 ram ....
& try increasing the virtual memory in the OS ...
if you are using the windows xp .. then to increase the virtual memory just go to
control panel >system>advanced>advanced>virtual memory settings>increase the virtual memory for the drive in which the os is installed ....

KM4M-L and graphics cards/memory queries

I would hate to burst the bubble but if you buy any DDR2 memory, then you will be wasting your money.
This motherboard only supports standard DDR upto 333mhz and only 2gig max of that.

Video card wise, then an ATI 9800 Pro can be had cheaply or an nVidia 6800 AGP version can be purchased new.

Hope it helps =)

Better processor

Not sure which family of AMD Athlon you mean, probably just Athlon, not AthlonXP or other, but I do know that 2400+ isn't 2.00ghz, however, that aside, there are alot of processors supported by this motherboard, but in specific families.

http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=prodcpusupport&prod_no=558&maincat_no=1

This is a link to MSI's website and the CPU Compatibility list for this Motherboard. The AthlonXP 3000+ w/ 166/333 FSB is the Fastest this board will support, and as to where you can find it, there are numerous online stores that may still carry this. A few to check would be CDW (www.cdw.com), TigerDirect (www.tigerdirect.com), NewEgg (www.newegg.com) and ChiefValue (www.chiefvalue.com) to name a few. These are all sites that I have personally done business with to know they are legitimate companies.

Hope this helps!
